Educational Childrens Concerts

Heidelberg Symphony is delighted to again be performing two educational children’s concerts on Sunday 29 July, 2012 to introduce young children to a live symphony orchestra.

There will be two concerts, with the same program at each concert.
The two concert times are:
1.00pm
2.30pm

Both concerts will be held in the Performing Arts Centre, Ivanhoe Girls Grammar School, Upper Heidelberg Road, Ivanhoe.  This is an acoustically-designed venue which provides audience with auditorium seating (clear visibility) in addition to a wide range of conveniences such as climate controlled heating, disabled access, and free parking in surrounding streets.

The 2012 concert program is designed for children between 4-14 years of age.  A narrator will explain how an orchestra works, its instrument families, their individual names and sounds. Then the orchestra will perform a range of music and at times, the narrator will invite audience involvement.  Each concert will run for approximately 45 minutes.

Tickets are $5 per seat (adult, concession, child) and can be purchased as follows:

Tickets are transferable but not refundable.
