Heidelberg Symphony Orchestra will be performing two special educational children’s concerts in 2017 on Sunday July 30th at 1.30 pm and a second performance at 3.30 pm.
Each concert will run for approximately 50 minutes and be held at the Performing Arts Centre, Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School, Upper Heidelberg Road, Ivanhoe.
The HSO together with narrator Christopher Carolane will introduce the orchestral instruments to the children. HSO will perform some well known Disney tunes and the children will also have the opportunity to conduct the orchestra.
Christopher Carolane will then narrate the story of Pee Wee The Piccolo. Miss Piccolo has lost her song and the animals in the forest all help her to find it again.
It is a lovely story and the different animals are represented by the instruments in the orchestra.
